“We cannot live without
the Eucharist” these are the words of the first
Christians. They knew well what they are
threatened with for participating in the Eucharist. They cherished the love of
Jesus more than life. These thoughts
came somehow to my mind when one day a group of Polish tourists called Rev.
John asking for the Sunday Eucharist. They could not get to the Chapel, because
they had just landed in
Kamchatka, and besides, they had their accommodation 30 km from the city.
Everything new, everything different. We went to them with joy. It didn’t
matter that their bodies had not yet switched on to our time in Kamchatka. Next
Sunday we met up again at the Breaking of the Bread. It didn’t matter that the 300 km return from
Esso on a road which was
in very bad condition was tiring; it didn’t matter that the next day there was
a trip to the volcanoes... The most important thing was the participation in Sunday Mass. Such a
beautiful witness to the faith was given by: Kasia, Olga, Brygida, Jolanta,
Grazyna, Dzidka, Grzegorz, Bogdan, Zbigniew and others.
We encourage all who visit Kamchatka to give such
witness!
Taste and see how good is the
Lord
The whole of heaven prays with
us because the Lord is coming…
A wonderful group by the Grotto :)
We too managed to “fit in” the
frame :)
We can express our gratitude
only with our smile :)
