+ GOD IS BORN

There is a saying that Christmas is the most heartwarming time. And this is true! Here, in Kamchatka we are all one big family.
At 8:30 pm our Kamtchatka community: S.M. Inga, S. Janet Marie, S.M. Donata, S.M. Jana, Fr. Christopher Kowal, Fr. John Radoń, and our parishioners Dimitr and Walentyna from Klyuchi, celebrated the Christmas Vigil. The Shepherd’s Mass was at 10:00 pm. The whole chapel was filled with our parishioners and guests. Our hearts leapt with joy at the mere sight of us all gathered in the chapel. Many people came to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. We sang the carols with all our hearts and we prayed fervently. Our hearts and this land are in need of the Savior to be born. He comes because he loves us so much. After the Shepherd’s Mass we all shared the Christmas wafer. As a gift everyone received a plaster Baby Jesus made by Sisters Donata and Sister Janet.
God is born and this is the most beautiful news we could hear in today’s world.

At our Christmas Vigil table

Dima prepared delicious fish. You cannot buy carp here but there is a lot of salmon:)

It is always good to be together :)
