+ GOD IS BEING BORN!

 The heaven and earth become one today,
for Christ is born.
God came down to the earth today,
and man ascended to heaven.
The One invisible by nature
is seen in his body today
through the human nature of Christ.
So let us cry out praising him:
GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST AND PEACE ON EARTH,
for your coming down, O Savior,
gave us an abundance of gifts.  May you be praised!

If you long for somebody, you keep waiting; if you keep waiting, you keep watching.  Advent is the season when longing for our Lord somehow touches our hearts more deeply.  The Scripture readings given for this period of time are filled with longing, joy and hope.  They also invite us to seek the Lord.  The promise found in the Book of Jeremiah is wonderful: When you look for me, you will find me, for you will seek me with all your heart (Jer 29:13)The Lord God is truly near, if only we look around more carefully.  May you enjoy a Blessed Advent Season!
